Fileliq OCR is for scans. Born-digital PDFs already have text — running OCR anyway can double-layer garbage.

Pick eng, ita, or eng+ita. That is the recognizer, not the website language.

Accuracy follows scan DPI and contrast. We do not magically fix a phone photo of a glossy contract.

Does OCR edit the layout?

It adds a text layer (search/select). It is not a rewrite of the page design.

FREE?

Often limited or off. See /pricing. Missing binary → ENGINE_UNAVAILABLE.

Handwriting?

No. Print type only, and even then inspect.
