Drive the converter from the keyboard. The mouse is optional.
Fileliq assumes you already know the format names. The chrome is dense on purpose. Learn eight keys. Stop hunting dropzones.
Command palette first
⌘K / Ctrl+K opens the palette. Type a slug (`pdf-to-jpg`), a fragment (`webp`), or a page (`pricing`). Arrow keys move. Enter goes. Esc closes. This is faster than the catalog table once you know two slugs.
Stub tools still appear so the catalog is honest. They are marked stub. AI slugs are coming soon — dropzone off. Do not queue them.
g-chords
Press g, then a letter within about 700 ms. The chord is ignored while you type in an input. If you stall, press g again.
- g h — home
- g c — convert studio
- g t — tools catalog
- g g — guides
- g p — pricing
- g d — dashboard
- g y — history
- g a — account
Convert loop
Stage files. Enter starts processing. Watch the queue on the right. When a row hits COMPLETED, D downloads the last completed output. N resets the dropzone for another file. ? opens this help surface. Esc closes the palette, not the job.
The queue is not a toast. Collapse it only if you already know the statuses. Failed jobs stay in the list until you read the error. Retry is a new job, not a hidden auto-loop.
What the keys will not do
There is no vim-mode editor for PDF page trees. No chord reorders merge inputs. Drop order is merge order. Re-drop if you botched the sequence.
There is no key that “make it look like Acrobat.” PDF→Office is reconstruction. Inspect the file. The keymap will not save a bad export.
Steps
- Open the palette. Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K. Type the tool slug. Enter.
- Stage files. Drop or select. For merge, stage the whole set in the order you want concatenated.
- Start. Press Enter. Watch the job row. FREE concurrency is one.
- Download and repeat. Press D on COMPLETED. Press N for another file, or g g to read a guide if the output looks wrong.
FAQ
Does ? conflict with typing a filename?
The help chord is ignored while an input or textarea is focused. Click the page chrome first if a field ate the key.
Can I remap keys?
No. This is the Fileliq map. Learn it or use the nav.
Mobile?
The palette and g-chords are desktop. On a phone, use the catalog and the queue drawer.
